Kendall Blotter: Waving A Gun and Pointing It At A Neighbor, Driving Erratically
Kendall County police reports, April 17 through April 21.

APRIL 21
Sherwood Elliot, 61, of Sandwich, was charged with aggravated assault after sheriff’s deputies responded to a neighborhood dispute in the 0-20 block of William Lane in Sandwich around 3:40 p.m. Elliot was taken into custody for allegedly waving and pointing a loaded .45 caliber pistol at his neighborhood. He was also charged with unlawful use of weapon when deputies said he walked in his neighbor’s yard without permission with a loaded gun.

Sheriff’s deputies tracked down a motorist after receiving an anonymous call reporting a possibly intoxicated driver that had been involved in a hit and run accident and driving erratically near US Routes 30 and 34, reports said.
Deputies spotted the vehicle in the area of Manhattan Circle and Hudson Driver in Oswego. The vehicle continued driving a short distance and parked in a yard in the 600 block of Manhattan Circle.

The driver, identified as Guy S. Qualls, 20, of the 600 block of Manhattan Circle, Oswego, was determined to allegedly driving under the influence of prescription drugs or other intoxicated compound.
Qualls was transferred to Rush Copley Hospital in Aurora for an evaluation and taken into custody for DUI, deputies said.
APRIL 19
Someone shot at an unoccupied vehicle with a gun sometime around 10:32 p.m. near Woodridge and Pembroke Roads in the Boulder Hill Subdivision in Montgomery. No one was reported injured.
APRIL 17
A 10-year-old boy was hit by a car near Fernwood and Winrock in the Boulder Hill subdivision around 5:48 p.m. April 17. Deputies determined that the boy was hit when he emerged from behind a parked car. He was taken to Rush Copley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver was not ticketed.
