Pot in a Sock
A car parked at Violet Patch Park at 1699 Route 25 in Oswego turned up a couple of alleged fugitives wanted on active warrants, reports said.
Sheriff’s deputies went to investigate around 11:58 p.m.

Eduardo Rico, 28, of Aurora was wanted a contempt of court charge in Kane County.
Victor Munoz, 20, was wanted out of Aurora for failure to appear in court on a domestic battery charge. Deputies said that Munoz also had cannabis hidden in his sock.

The Old Switcheroo
A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested after he was stopped for speeding at Route 25 and Boulder Hill Pass in Oswego.
Sheriff’s deputies said the juvenile was travelling 50mph in a 30mph zone when they pulled him over around 9:14 p.m.
After he was stopped, deputies said he was seen trying to switch seats with a back seat passenger.
The juvenile was taken into custody for driving without a valid driver’s license and obstructing a peace officer. He was also found in possession of cannabis and cited for speeding, reports said.
Speeding
Paul Carter, 25, of Sugar Grove, was cited for speeding 79 mph in a 55-mph speed zone. During the traffic stop, deputies also learned that Carter was driving on a revoked license, reports said.
March 28
Sound System Too Loud
Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man on multiple charges after stopping him for illegal use of a sound amplification system inside his vehicle, reports said.
Javier Machado, 35, of Montgomery, was pulled over near Hillstone and Rockyway Roads, Oswego, around 9:15 p.m.
During the traffic stop, deputies said that Machado did not have a valid driver’s license. Machado was also found to be in possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia, according to the report.
He was charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia, driving without a valid driver’s license and illegal use of a sound amplification system.
