Kendall County Blotter: Woman Extricated In Rollover Crash, Criminal Sexual Assault Investigation

March 26

Raymond Joseph, 32, of Montgomery, was arrested on an active warrant for failure to appear on a charge of driving on a suspended license during a traffic stop at Douglas towne Crossing.

Police discovered that Tasheba M. Fortney, of St. Charles, Mo, was driving on a suspended drivers license during a traffic at Route 71 and Walker, reports said.

March 25

After running two different red lights and failing to signal change lanes, police charged Isaac Ruiz, 32, of Osewgo with DUI and traffic offenses, reports said.

A 57-year-old man reported that a family member used his personal information to access his records in the 1700 block of Route 71.

Deshawn Wooten, 21, of DeKalb, was stopped for speeding. Police learned he had an outstanding warrant out of Aurora for failure to appear on a charge of obstructing identification with a $300 bond. Wooten was also charged with speed and driving on an expired license, reports said.

March 24

After stopping a juvenile driver for a lane violation near Fox River Road and Fox Road, police learned the 16-year-old did not have a drivers license. His passenger, Curtis Dryden, 20, of Plano, was charged with possession of cannabis, reports said.

March 23

Jelisa Correa, 23, of Oswego, was charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault in the 1500 block of Light Road. Police said she abused another adult.

Police responded to a head-on crash involving two vehicles near the intersection of Ridge and Bell roads. Steven Zavala, 38, of Minooka, was issued a summons at the hospital for DUI.

March 21

A woman was seriously injured in a rollover crash at Rt. 47 and Walker Road. Police said that the driver, Miguel Flores, 29, of Aurora, was traveling eastbound on Walker Road when he failed to yield and disobeyed a stop sign at Rt. 47. Flores struck another vehicle causing his vehicle to rollover. He was taken to Rush Copley in Aurora for non-capacitating injuries. His passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle. She was brought to a hospital with decapacitating injuries. The driver of other vehicle was not injured. Flores was charged with failing to yield at an intersection and disobeying a stop sign, reports said.

March 20

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of criminal assault. The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance.
