Kendall County Deputy Promoted to Sergeant
Sergeant Mitch Hattan will begin his new position Dec. 1.

On Nov. 25, Deputy Mitch Hattan was sworn in as a sergeant by Kendall County Sheriff Dwight A. Baird at the Kendall County Courthouse. The promotion comes after a rigorous testing process. Sergeant Hattan will begin serving as a patrol sergeant on Dec. 1.

Sergeant Hattan, a 17 year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office, has held several positions of increasing responsibility during his career. Most recently, Sergeant Hattan served as the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Training Coordinator. Sergeant Hattan has also served as a Field Training Officer, Motorcycle Deputy/Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Rapid Response Instructor, SWAT Team Member, Community Oriented Policing Deputy, School Resource Officer, and Detective. Sergeant Hattan is currently an Assistant Commander of the Kendall County Major Crimes Task Force. Sergeant Hattan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with Cum Laude Honors from Northwood University.
