I was in a conversation with a friend today, who is a desk jockey at Kendall County. And, she was telling me about the fact that they were in a meeting today all about their benefits. I was appalled when she told me what her benefits were. Dental is a $2000 max, per person in her family, the average benefit is $1000 per person, for the average family. IF the employer offers dental AT ALL ! ! ! And she went on to tell me how they are getting a $2000 bonus of dental coverage for just this December. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM............I wonder who is paying for all of this ? ! ? You, your neighbor, your elderly parents and grandparents who struggle to get by on a fixed income. The guy you know down the street who is close to losing his home because his income went down along with his house value, but his taxes went up. Your son or daughter that have just started out on their own and are finding it's financially stressful to get by on the income they are making along with paying school loans and day to day expenses. And hard working families, that work hard, juggle children and try not to cry when they just can't afford to take their family on vacation. Or, are not able to afford the activities their family wants to participate in even though both parents are working. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE!!!!!!!!
WAIT!!!!!!! It gets even better !!! She went on to tell me how their medical insurance has been upgraded to include some cosmetic coverages. "WOW" I said. And she said "I know, right !"
And who is it that chooses these CEO like plans......Coverage as if these Civil Servants were Royalty. Well, of course......The people within this sector. Why not pick the very best "Platinum Plan"........For yourself?!? No one is watching and if they are......What are they going to do about it anyway ?
