Kendall County Inmate Charged with Throwing Feces at Deputy
An altercation broke out between him and a deputy.

YORKVILLE, IL — The Oswego man who was shot by police officers after threatening to create a massacre and shoot himself in the street has received yet another charge. This time for allegedly throwing feces on a deputy and battering him.
Taylor James Cano, 26, of the 300 block of S. Fordham Ave. in Aurora and formerly of the 100 block of Ashlawn Avenue in Oswego, was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer.
Cano was already locked up in jail at the time of the incident, which occurred at 5:50 p.m. Nov. 2. He probably didn’t get to watch Game 7 of the World Series that night.

Deputies responded to the jail after a physical altercation broke out between Cano and a deputy, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. During the altercation, Cano allegedly threw feces on the deputy and battered him.
In August 2015, Cano made several phone calls to the police indicating that a massacre was going to happen and that he was going to shoot himself in the street, according to a release from the Oswego Police Department. Cano called the police and then hung up several times. At one point, Cano said he had a rifle and would shoot anyone who came to help him.

When officers went to his residence, they found Cano outside his home with a rifle. Cano allegedly raised the rifle toward the officers. According to the release, the man did not comply with orders from the officers who, fearing for their safety, fired at him. Cano was stuck in the the torso and police gave first aid to him. The Oswego Fire Protection District took him to an area hospital for further medical attention.
In addition to two counts of attempted murder, Cano was also charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
