Kendall County Master Gardeners Will Host Plant Sale May 19
The Kendall County Master Gardener Plant Sale is Saturday, May 19, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the U of I Extension office in Yorkville.

YORKVILLE, Ill. – The time has come to pick out prime plants and pick up helpful hints, all for your garden, at the annual Kendall County Master Gardener Plant Sale this Saturday, May 19.
The annual event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the University of Illinois Extension office in Yorkville. Master Gardeners will provide free presentations and demonstrations on popular home gardening topics, including:
- 9:30 am -“Herb Container Gardening” with Gloria White of Oswego
- 10 a.m. - “What to do with all that Zucchini” with Nann Armstrong of Oswego
- 10:30 a.m. - “Propagating Plant Cuttings” with Linda Kopacz of Oswego
The sale portion will include native, perennial, and vegetable plants. The Master Gardener volunteers started more than 900 seedlings, including 14 varieties of tomatoes and 10 pepper varieties. The University of Illinois Extension office is located just one mile south of the intersection of Route 71 and Route 47, at 7775B Illinois Route 47 in Yorkville.
Kendall County Master Gardener volunteers also answer homeowner gardening and lawn care questions through the Help Desk, which is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Extension office or by calling 630-553-5823.
