Kendall County Police Reports Include Post-Holiday DUI Offenses

Tuesday, May 29

Aggravated DUI

Sara L. Friedrich, 30, of 672 Meadowood Lane, Wilmington, has been charged with aggravated DUI following an incident just after 4:30 p.m., May 29.

Wednesday, May 30

Unlawful possession of handguns

KCSO says Benjamin Barragan, Jr., 19, of 120 Colonial Pkwy., Yorkville, has been charged with unlawful possession of handguns, a felony offense, in addition to defacing identification marks of firearms, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of cannabis at around 2:45 p.m., May 30.

Failure to yield causing an accident

Yorkville Police say Dorthy Hilleud, 84, of the 700 block of Arrowhead Drive, Yorkville, was taken to Rush Copley for injuries following an accident when she was driving her 2010 Buick westbound on Route 34 and Autumn Creek, when Devin Henkel, 20, of the 2000 block of Emerald Lane, Yorkville, failed to yield while driving eastbound and turning northbound on Route 34 and Autumn Creek at 7:18 p.m., May 30. Henkel was driving a 2006 Hyundai sedan and was ticketed for failure to yield.

Thursday, May 31

DUI

Yorkville Police say Anthony Mallett, 27, of the 1000 block of Fifth Street, Aurora, was arrested after police were alerted to a vehicle swerving all over the roadway before locating Mallett and conducted a traffic stop after seeing a traffic violation. Police say Mallett was found to not have a valid license and was consuming alcohol. He was arrested and charged with both offenses and taken to Kendall County Corrections.
