Letters From A Confederate Soldier
Experience this examination of American history through letters between a Confederate soldier and his wife.

On Sunday, April 12, 2015 come to the Chapel on the Green and join Pat and Rich Healy for an afternoon of storytelling about the Larkin Moon Family.
Larkin and his wife lived in Chatham County, North Carolina at the time of the Civil War. He joined the Confederate Army as a member of the 26th North Carolina Infantry.
Experience this examination of American history through Larkin’s letters home to his wife. The letters tell of Larkin’s experiences from the Spring of 1862 until April, 1865 as he fought with the 26th North Carolina from their early days in North Carolina, to the battle of Gettysburg, the siege at Petersburg, and finally the surrender at Appomattox Court House.

The program will be held at the Chapel on the Green, 107 W. Center Street in Yorkville, on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 2 p.m. The program commemorates the 150th anniversary of the ending of the Civil War.
