Man Attempted to Flee Deputy: Sheriff's Police

A 20-year-old Oswego man attempted to flee a traffic stop, but was caught by Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies in his backyard, police said.

Police said a deputy attempted to stop Daniel Fitzpatrick II, 20, of the 100 block of Rickard Drive, for speeding at Route 34 and American Way in Yorkville. According to police, Fitzpatrick instead drove away and pulled into his driveway, exited his vehicle and ran on foot into his backyard.

Deputies took Fitzpatrick into custody in his backyard, and he was charged with fleeing/attempting to elude an officer, police said.
