Man Driving Drunk Causes Rollover Crash: Police

The 30-year-old man fled the scene, but was apprehended a short time later. A Plainfield man was injured and taken to a local hospital.

An Aurora man is in jail after causing an accident and then leaving the scene Wednesday morning, according to a release from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.

Kaneshka Azizi, 30, of the 2000 block of Fox Pointe Drive in Aurora, was traveling northbound at around 8:30 a.m. on Route 25 near Glendale Road in Oswego Township when he struck the rear of a vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Plainfield man of the 2000 block of Horizon Court. The 44 year old lost control of his vehicle and it rolled over.

Azizi, who was allegedly driving under the influence, fled the scene, but was located by sheriff’s deputies in the 0-10 block of Woodcliff Road in Oswego Township.

Azizi was taken into custody for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. He was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

The Plainfield man was taken to Rush-Copley Hospital by the Oswego Fire Department. The man’s condition is unknown.
