McHenry County Man Sexually Assaulted Child In Yorkville Home: Police
The investigation began after the parent of a child reported the man had come to the family's residence to work on a vehicle, police said.

YORKVILLE, IL — A McHenry County man was taken into custody in connection to accusations that he sexually abused a child at a Yorkville residence, police said Tuesday.
The investigation into Roberto Salazar Rodriguez, 43, began Feb. 18 when the parent of a child reported that Rodriguez had come to the family's residence in Yorkville to work on a vehicle. The parent alleged the assault occurred that day.
Rodriguez was an acquaintance of the family. He was not a "complete stranger" but not a family friend either, Deputy Chief Garrett Carlyle told Patch.

The investigation led Yorkville police to develop probable cause that Rodriguez "committed multiple sexual offenses involving a juvenile victim at the residence," police said in a news release.
Rodriguez, of the 2500 block of North Riverside Drive in McHenry, was taken into custody June 26 after detectives executed an outstanding arrest warrant charging him with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, two counts of criminal sexual assault and two counts of criminal sexual abuse.
