Montgomery Boy Stole School Bus from Church: Police

The bus was found in Naperville.

A Montgomery boy was arrested and later released to his parents after allegedly stealing a school bus from the Valley Baptist Church in Oswego.

According to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the church at around 6 p.m. Aug. 25 for a report of a stolen school bus that was located by the Naperville Police Department.

The juvenile driver of the school bus was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Naperville police stopped the bus after receiving a complaint and being on the lookout. The Tribune reports the boy is 12 years old.
