Parents of Yorkville District 115. Parents in general. Friends. Readers....
I need your help. I need you more now, more than I could have ever imagined. I mourn the loss of Chass. Many mourn the loss of Chass. Every prayer possible is being sent to Chase' family. Except prayer just isn't enough this time. We need to do more. A LOT more.
SPS, a state funded program, is in the following schools: Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles Oswego and Plainfield. Aurora has a Suicide Prevention program. Why not Yorkville??
Parents, we need our children to have this program. The school claimed "they have so much going on as it is, we don't have time.." No time to save a life????
I will and have heard " why can't you talk to your kid??? I do. Every single day. They need more. I teach them about bullying the have assembly's on it. Sex ed for the older kids, I have since I have a 8th grader and 6th grader. We can go on for days.
SPS teaches about mental health, what you can feel and what may start to need help. Who to turn to. Believe it or not parents our babies may not want to talk to us. I know, It hurts me too! But, it's their reality.
So here it is....
Take a Chance for Chass.
Comment below if you would like SPS in our school system. In one week I will copy and paste every comment and print to present this to the school board, and any one else that can help us fight the battle.
The truth is, his family went to his school for help. We lost Chass. Are you willing to risk that Chance????
