Name Released in Montgomery Sonic Death

The Kendall County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the woman who died Friday, May 29 in a Montgomery Sonic.

Ashley McFarland, 26, of the 600 block of S. River St. in Aurora, was found Friday evening in the restroom of the Sonic. A cause of death has not yet been determined.

According to a press release from the Montgomery Police Department, officers responded to a call of a woman not breathing in the restroom at about 7:17 p.m. Friday, May 29.

Officers found the woman, later identified at McFarland, deceased in the restroom. The fire department personnel that arrived on the scene pronounced McFarland dead at 7:29 p.m.

An autopsy was performed Monday, June 1 by the Kendall County Coroner’s Office.
