Mary Kay Brozovich

Age 88, of Minooka, Illinois, passed peacefully at home, Sunday evening, August 2, 2026.

Mary Kay was born in Joliet on March 22, 1938, to Catherine (Stiglich) and Louis Bausano.She was a graduate of Providence Catholic High School.

In 1959 she married John Brozovich and they settled in Minooka, where they raised their family and over the years welcomed grandchildren and great-grandchildren into their home and lives.Mary Kay's primary focus was her family and her faith. She remained steadfast and strong on both fronts, setting a wonderful example for those she loved so much.

She is the beloved mother of Catherine (David) Wehrle, Deborah (Doug) Chriswell, Michael (Nada) Brozovich, and Mark (Kelly) Brozovich; dearest grandmother of Matthew (Hannah) Wehrle, Nichole (Cody) Fosdick, Kayla (Tony) Wellner, Michelle (Dustin) Newman, Ryan Brown, Meagan Brown, Nicholas (Taylor Ford) Brozovich, Lucas (Crystal) Brozovich, Jacob (Caroline Wilhelm) Brozovich, Mitchell (Emily) Brozovich, Maxwell (Kelley) Brozovich, and Matthew Brozovich; proud and devoted great-grandmother of Lela and Rhett Wehrle, Bella and Colton Carey, Conner and Crew Fosdick, Emersyn and Jace Wellner, Alexah, Linken, and Kyden Newman, Teagan Brown, Brayleigh and Annistyn Wardle, Brinley and Brooks Brozovich, Sophia and Jackson Brozovich, and Lucia Brozovich.Many nieces, nephews, and dear friends also survive.

Mary Kay is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, John, as well as her parents.

The Brozovich family will always remember Kelly Boyle for her friendship and the connection she shared with their mother.

Visitation for Mary Kay Brozovich will take place Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet, IL. Funeral services will be Friday, August 7, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 303 W. St. Mary's St., Minooka, IL, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Minooka.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431.
