Push ups are a much hated :) but extremely efficient exercise. Doing a push up uses so many muscles all at once...multi-tasking at it’s best!
Proper form is simple-maintain a strong line from the top of your head to your heels. Keep your elbows tucked into your sides as you lower your body and push back up. Don’t sag your body, stick your butt up or bob your head. To modify your push up, begin in a full pushup then drop your knees. Doing it this way sets you up for perfect form. Your knees will not be directly under your hips.
Begin with doing 8 modified push ups and gradually work up to 8 full ones. Set a goal of at least 20 full push ups, 4 times a week. And, of course, keep adding to that number! Push ups are a terrific, effective exercise that you can do it anywhere!!! Who knows, you may even begin to like them :)
