This one may seem like a no-brainer, but figuring out what you “like” to do will improve the chances that you will stick with it. And I don’t necessarily mean what activity you prefer, but more like what fits your personality style?
- Are you a group exercise fan? Perfect for extroverts, people who need a start time or simply love the energy of working out with others!
- Prefer one-on-one with a personal trainer? Do this if you want a custom-made workout, want to try something different, or have any special issues. A trainer can even help you figure out what you “like” to do!
- Are you more intense and work harder when it’s just you working out? No distractions, completely focused, just you and the road…or the treadmill :)
- Maybe walking with a friend sounds fun? This is a terrific opportunity to catch up, talk through life’s stresses and maybe share a laugh. (Just make sure you don’t get so carried away by your chatting that your walk becomes a stroll!)
There are so many, many options-do one or do them all-the main thing is just figure out what you want to do-and do it!
