Oswego Pier 1 Imports Opens
Customers will receive grand opening freebies now through Wednesday.
The Oswego Pier 1 Imports store, 2520 Route 34 in the Prairie Market Shopping Center, officially opened Monday.
Chrissy Madison, a spokeswoman for Pier 1, said the location is the chain's 39th store in Illinois.
According to the store, customers who shop at the Oswego location Wednesday will get a free reusable back and an "iconic" Pier 1 Imports backscratcher to celebrate the grand opening.
“We are pleased to bring this new Pier 1 Imports to Oswego and hope that our new location will inspire customers to discover the eclectic and fun merchandise that is unique to Pier 1 Imports," Pier 1 President and CEO Alex Smith said in a press release issued Monday.
The store will employ 15-17 associates, the company said.
