Photo Gallery: Hoover Open House

After many restorations to the Hoover Forest Preserve, leaders decided to have an open house to show off their progress.

There was an open house at Hoover Forest Preserve to show the public the major improvements and restorations that have happen in the past few years.

Executive Director Jason Pettit gave Patch photographer Kelly Schulz a tour of the grounds and all the changes that have been made. The Forest Foundation was having a raffle and plant sale at the open house.

Hoover Forest Preserve was bought by Kendall County Forest Preserve a few years back, and they have been restoring the land ever since. The grounds are 393 acres. Five structures were demolished and another four have been renovated.
