Photo Gallery: Inside Nanette's New Location

Nanette's gift boutique opened today in the former Blue Orchid Studio location on Route 47 in Yorkville.

is planning to celebrate its new location from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday after opening its doors at the former Blue Orchid Studio location this morning.

The shop, which features gifts, home décor and jewelry, opened at 101 E. Center St. after operating out of the front rooms of owner Nanette Michalec's home since August. Michalec donates 10 percent of the store sales to a local family or child in need, and carries lines of merchandise that support causes including Breast Cancer of America, Children’s Miracle Network and Foster Children of Illinois.

Other merchandise at Nanette's includes "pop can jewelry, MOGO bracelets, Bella Fiore picture frames, Mudpie baby products, Lindsay Phillips flip flops and Marie Osmond purses," according to a news release.

Saturday's official grand opening will include performances by Famous Athletics cheerleaders from 1 to 4 p.m. and a local ice cream vendor.
