Photo: Teen Attends Youth Leadership Conference

Evan Dill, 16, of Yorkville, recently attended an Anthony Robbins Unleash the Power Within seminar in New York as an ambassador to the youth leadership team.

He was among 15 to 20 youth leaders and 5,000 participants. The following is information his mother, Anna Dill-Hartford, provided:

The youth leaders were able to participate in the full seminar experience, including walking on 2500 degree hot coals on the first night – as seen on OWN with Oprah.

At the end of the 4 days, the youth team voted for one outstanding leader amongst them, and Evan was chosen unanimously. The prize was a full scholarship, valued at $600, to the Anthony Robbins Foundation’s Global Youth Summit at the University of California, San Diego, this summer.

At the summit, teens from all over the world will attend for 5 days in an environment designed to boost them into leadership roles that will change their lives and communities. Keynote speakers from around the world will present on topics from leadership to contribution. At the end of the summit, the participants are prepared to identify personal goals and make a commitment to community service.
