Photo: Yorkville Foxes Travel Baseball Team Wins Tournament

The 12U team came home champions from the 2012 Battle of Omaha Tournament in Omaha.

The 12U Yorkville Foxes Travel Baseball Team played this past week in the 2012 Battle of Omaha Tournament in Omaha, NE.  The Foxes fnished their pool play as the 3 seed out of 16 teams from all over the country.  The Foxes then went on to win 3 straight games against the Mukwonago, WI Indians (9-0), Bellevue, NE Braves (1-0) and finally the Pleasant Prairie, WI Predators (3-2) to become the Champions of the tournament.  It was an experience of a lifetime for the team, the tournament is run in conjuntion with the NCAA World Series, so the team was also able to attend several NCAA playoff games.

The team consists of #2 Ryan "rrrrr" Reynolds, #4 AJ Gorey, #5 Will Koester, #7 Logan "LoHa" Habada, #8 Logan "LT" Tennell, #9 Eddie "K-9" Kilgore, #12 Devan "D-Cro" Cross, #15 Mark Sommers, #25 Travis "T-Vo" Voelker, #34 Jon "JJ" Jungr, and #50 Ty "Fittty" Liaromatis.  The team is coached by Jake Koester, Kevin Sommers, Todd Tennel and Rob Voelker.
