Photos: Divas Delights Opens on Yorkville's North Side

Renee Davis and her daughter, Melissa Christensen, enjoyed Lia Sophia jewelry parties but thought the merchandise was a bit expensive.

So they started looking for a less pricey alternative.

The result is a new retail store on Yorkville’s north side near . Divas Delights is celebrating its grand opening this weekend at 129 Commercial Drive, Unit 7.

“We started doing home parties (in June) and decided it was time to look for a space,” said Davis.

The grand opening specials and drawings will run from Friday through Monday.

The shop is open Mondays, Tuesday, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The business' phone number is 630-553-9292, and you can find the Facebook page here.

The shop’s purses average $40 and the jewelry prices range from $5 to $30, Davis said.

“We look for stuff that we like and that we would wear,” Davis said.
