Plainfield Residents Caught Stealing Lawn Furniture: Police

One alleged culprit also accused of illegally transporting open alcohol.

Two unincorporated Plainfield residents were arrested late Tuesday after being caught stealing lawn furniture from a Yorkville home, Kendall County Sheriff’s police said.

Scott Kalkis, 32, and Ashley Kalkis, 31, of the 1700 block of Cascade Ridge, were charged with theft after police said they were caught taking a lawn chair, table and two decorative lanterns from the front porch of a home in the 5500 block of Legacy Drive, Yorkville, shortly before midnight, police said.

Scott Kalkis was also charged with illegal transportation of an open container of alcohol, according to a Kendall County police report.
