Plano Man Charged with Violation of Sex Offender Registration Act
Man failed to report employment.

On March 9th, Kendall County Sheriff’s Detectives initiated an investigation regarding a violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act. The investigation revealed that an individual had allegedly failed to report employment as required by Illinois statute.
On May 7th, the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Jason R. Porter, a 42-year-old man from Plano, with 2 counts of Violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act – Failure to Report Employment, both Class 3 felonies and one count of Providing False Information, a Class 3 felony. Porter’s bond was set at $20,000, with 10% to apply.
Porter was taken into custody on May 12th at his residence without incident. Porter has been unable to post bond and remains in custody at the Kendall County Jail.
