Increased Police On Maple Avenue While Officials Make Arrest: Sheriff

YORKVILLE, IL — Police presence in the 0-99 block of Maple Avenue in Yorkville was heightened Monday as law enforcement went to serve an arrest warrant, officials said.

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to assist members of the US Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. Officials said Monday there was no active threat to residents.

An investigation into the incident is active. Deputy Dan Briars told Patch Tuesday he could not provide additional information due to the ongoing investigation.
