Several Fence Posts Stolen in Kendall County

The sheriff's office is seeking information on the thefts.

Someone has a liking for stealing fence posts and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office wants to know who.

Several green, 7-foot fence posts used to keep vehicles from driving off the road have been taken from the corner of Fox River Drive and Fox Road in Yorkville, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

The thefts were reported to have happened between 4:15 p.m. Aug. 10 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 11.

Police said this is an ongoing issue and several posts were taken at other times from the area of the Fox Road curve. The sheriff’s office report number is 2015-2486.

Anyone with information on this or other crimes is urged to call Kendall County Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999. Callers may remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the offenders.
