KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office reported investigators were able to get in contact with nearly half the number of registered sex offenders authorities sought out during July 4 multi-jurisdictional sex offender verifications checks. The initiative was aimed to check compliance on all registered sex offenders and registered violence offenders against youth living in Kendall County.

KCSO said investigators from 9 police agencies worked together to conduct compliance checks on 84 residences in three hours, completing a verification check with 41 offenders.

Authorities identified 5 offenders that were possibly in violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act, and criminal investigations were opened as a result of these allegations.
