YORKVILLE, IL — Additional charges have been filed against a registered sex offender who was found with a minor at Silver Springs State Park in early September.

Robin Lish, 61, was first arrested Sept. 4 and charged with being present in a public park as a registered sexual predator/child sex offender, which is a misdemeanor, and brought into custody at the Kendall County jail.

Kendall County Sheriff's Office detectives, leading the investigation, announced Tuesday that Lish now also faces three counts of child pornography, three counts of child photography by a child sex offender, four counts of sexual exploitation of a child — all felonies — and two counts of unlawful presence of a child sex offender in a public park, a misdemeanor.

Officials said Lish is required to appear in court to determine his eligibility for pre-trial release.

"I would like to take a moment to commend the individual who contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report the suspicious activity, the deputies who initially responded and intervened in the situation and the detectives who have worked diligently to ensure the case is thoroughly investigated," Undersheriff Bobby Richardson said in a statement.

He continued: "Thanks to the vigilance of our community, we were able to intervene in this situation before it could potentially have progressed further. We would like to remind everyone that if you see something, say something. It is this strong partnership that leads to more successful outcomes for both the Sheriff’s Office and our community.ā€
