Squirrel Contributes To Yorkville Crash: Police Reports
Plus: Employee fired and arrested on theft charge from a Yorkville business.

March 28: The driver of a Chevrolet Express rear-ended a Kia Forte on Greenbriar Road near Walsh Drive after the 19-year-old driver of the Kia told police he stopped to avoid hitting a squirrel that was in the road. No injuries were reported.
March 28: Minor injuries were reported in a chain-reaction rear-end crash involving three vehicles on Cannonball Trail north of Route 34. A 64-year-old Yorkville woman was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after rear-ending a vehicle stopped at a red light, which was pushed into a third vehicle that was also stopped at the light. All three vehicles were towed from the scene for extensive damage.
March 27: An employee was fired from a business in the 100 block of Veterans Parkway after loss prevention agents said he was removing items from the store while having items installed on his personal vehicle. The former employee, identified as Michael J. Schwartz, 25, of the 300 block of Poplar Drive, was also arrested on a charge of retail theft over $500 and taken to the Kendall County jail, police said.
