String of Vehicle Burglaries Hits Yorkville
Burglaries happened throughout the day June 8.

An unknown person or persons has stolen items from several unlocked cars in Yorkville, according to a release from the Yorkville Police Department.
At 6:31 a.m. June 8, two credit cards were stolen from an unlocked car at 401 Bruell Street. At 6:35 a.m. the same day, a digital camera valued at $300 was stolen from an unlocked car at 406 Bruell Street.
At 210 Johnson Street, someone stole a pair of shoes and a pair of shorts valued at $100 from an unlocked vehicle at around 6:35 a.m. June 8

A couple of hours later at 8:46 a.m., someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a purse valued at $400. The incident happened at 407 Woodworth Street.
Later in the afternoon at 3:42 p.m., someone entered an unlocked vehicle at 2005 Old Glory Ct. and stole a laptop computer and a purse. Both items have a combined value of $1,200.
