Teacher Receives Anonymous Bomb Threat

Police investigated the incident but found no evidence of a credible threat.

YORKVILLE, IL — A part-time teacher at the Kendall County Opportunity School in Oswego said he received a phone call the morning of Jan. 13 from someone he believed may have been a former student threatening to blow up his house, according to the Yorkville Police Department.

Police said the teacher at first was uncertain about reporting the incident, but then called in to Yorkville police.

The teacher wasn’t entirely sure who had called him, according to police, but gave them the name of who he suspected. Police attempted to locate the person based only on a first name, but were unable to do so. Police believe the incident to be nothing more than a hoax.
