Teen Accused In Gun Theft, Armed Robbery
Police investigating a stolen gun discovered that the same person was also responsible for an armed robbery earlier this month.

YORKVILLE, IL — Yorkville police investigating a report of a stolen gun said they discovered that the same suspect was responsible for an armed robbery earlier this month. Police said a handgun was reported stolen Feb. 13 in the 100 block of Colonial Parkway. The investigation led to charges against a 16-year-old boy two days later, but police also discovered the teen was involved in a Feb. 4 armed robbery at a business park in the 1000 block of South Main Street.
Police said the teen is charged with theft and possession of a stolen firearm, as well as armed robbery, aggravated robbery and robbery.
The 16-year-old was taken into custody and transported to the juvenile justice center in St. Charles.
