Tornado Warning Sirens to Sound March 1

Kendall County will sound the outdoor warning sirens for the annual statewide tornado drill at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 1.
Outdoor warning sirens, NOAA weather radios and alerts on TV and mobile devices may occur, so do not be alarmed. This is being done in conjunction with Severe Weather Preparedness Week in Illinois which runs from Feb. 29 to March.

Residents are encouraged to share this information with your friends and neighbors so they are aware of this event.
This drill provides a good opportunity for families and businesses to review and test their severe weather preparedness plans and procedures. If you live near a siren and you do not hear it go off at 10 a.m. please contact the Kendall County Emergency Management Agency at 630-553-4500.

If severe weather is possible on March 1, the drill will be rescheduled.
