Two Vehicles' Windows Smashed In Yorkville, Nothing Stolen

The windows were smashed over the same night and early morning just a mile apart in Yorkville. No suspects have been named.

YORKVILLE, IL -- Two cars in Yorkville had their windows smashed on the night of June 6 and the morning of June 7, according to police reports. The incidents occurred a mile away from each other.

The rear driver's side window of one vehicle, parked in the 1000 block of Homestead Drive, was smashed sometime between 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night and 6:16 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to a police report. It is unknown whether anything was stolen, but costs are estimated at about $150.

The second incident, on the 400 block of Somonauk Street, happened around 5:58 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the police report. A black Ford Focus had its front driver's side window broken. Nothing was stolen from the vehicle and there was no further damage.
