Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: "He has a never give up attitude and is determined to achieve his goals in life," his mom, Lumie, wrote when she nominated him. "He was the Class President freshman through junior year, a member of the football and basketball team, a Boy Scout, and a Student Ambassador, and recently was recognized with an Academic All Conference award.  He is also a certified Illinois Soccer Referee for kids in his age group and younger.  Despite all his commitments, Ilir maintains stellar grades reigning in the Top 7% of his class. Most importantly, Ilir is always a faithful and loyal friend to many."

Whiz Kid’s Key to Awesomeness: "Most everyone around town knows of his academic achievements, athletic ability, kindness, sociability, and 'glass half-full' outlook," Lumie Emini wrote. "He is generally the first to offer help in any situation, and always treats others with respect. Many teachers and administrators know the the extent of this work ethic, resilience and focus on life."
