Woman Steals Over $800 In Retail: Yorkville Police Reports

YORKVILLE, IL —
Wednesday, June 20
Retail theft
Yorkville police officers arrested Delia Arredondo, 57, of the 300 block of 2nd St., Mendota, for taking $823.99 worth of clothing and perfume past the last point of purchase at a business located in the 900 block of Erica Lane at 8:12 p.m., June 20. Yorkville police say Arredondo was charged with retail theft, a felony.

Friday, June 22
Accident with injuries
Two juveniles were taken to the hospital with injuries following a car accident at 11:06 p.m., June 22 at Route 34 and Cannonball Trail. Yorkville police say a young driver was headed westbound at that location in a 2001 Chevy Malibu and attempted to turn left on Cannonball Trail when the front bumper of a 2013 Hyundai 4D hit the front bumper of the Malibu. Both cars were towed from the scene.

DUI, driving with revoked license
Yorkville Police officers responded to the area of Route 71 and Route 47 for a report of an unconscious male at the wheel on the roadway at 10:58 p.m., June 22. Police arrested and charged Nicholas Zarcone, 25, of the 40th block of Shagbark Lane, Newark, for DUI and driving with a revoked license. He was taken to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation where he was released with a mandatory future court date.
Sunday, June 24
Hit and run
Yorkville Police reported a driver left the scene after backing into a 2017 Buick SUV being driven by Mauricio Contreras, of the 4000 block of Camden Lane, Yorkville, who was parked facing Northwest on Camden Lane and Garritano Road at 10:30 p.m., June 24. Police say the other car backed out of a private parking spot and hit Contreras driver's side with its rear bumper, which created several small dents, before driving away from the scene.
