Would You Shave Your Head If It Could Help Even One Child?

My child would...

Introducing my daughter, Meredith...

Hi, I am Meredith and I am 10 years old and in 4th grade.  I will be shaving my head this Friday for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to find a cure for childhood cancer!  I am doing this in honor of my friend, Luke Johnston, who had neuroblastoma (brain cancer).  He loved frogs.  We went to his church with him.  He passed away in 2012 at 8 years old.  He touched my life the short time I got to see him. He is still in our hearts and in a better place.

My goal was $5,000 and I reached it, so I have increased it now to $6,000.  I would like to keep going until I reach $10,000 or more.  I have posted my flyers throughout the town.  Some of you may have seen me going door-to-door in your neighborhood or have seen my collection jars at a few local businesses. I have sent many e-mails and written lots of letters to local businesses asking for help in reaching my goal.   I was hoping everyone who reads this letter would donate on my webpage. It doesn’t have to be a lot.  Every little bit adds up.  That’s how I got to my goal in the first place, but now I have a new goal and need more help reaching it.  So if you would please donate to help innocent children who have cancer, I would be very happy.  No one wants to lose a child.  If you donate, it could help a million children because St. Baldrick’s provides money for lifesaving cancer research!  So don’t wait, please donate to  St. Baldrick’s, you could save millions of lives!

I plan to continue to fundraise even after I shaved my head, so please continue to donate even if you forget to do it before my shave.  St. Baldrick’s will keep my webpage live through December 31, 2014!   I will be at Fitness Advantage’s Health Fair on March 31 from 4-7PM and I will be B - to the - A - to the - L - to the - D (BALD!)!  I will have genuine St. Baldrick’s items available and I will be collecting donations too, so please stop by and see my new ‘do!
