YHS Band Members perform at the NI Big XII Honors Band Festival

Band members from the YHS Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony participated the NIB XII Honors Band Festival on February 20 at Sycamore High School. Students are nominated for participation by Victor Anderson Music Department Chair and Bobby Vriezen, Band Director and selected by the NIB XII Band Festival Committee. Students representing the conference schools participated in a Freshman/Sophomore level ensemble as well as a Junior/Senior level ensemble. Rehearsals were led by Mr. Barry Houser and Dr. Stephen Peterson, Directors of Bands from the University of Illinois. The day-long event culminated in an evening performance. Way to represent Yorkville!!
