Yorkville: 4 Crashes Involving Juveniles Wednesday
Contrary to what you may think, in the accidents involving adults, the kids were not at fault.

YORKVILLE, IL — Yorkville police responded to four car accidents Wednesday afternoon and evening, all of them involving either one or two juveniles. Luckily, none of the accidents caused any injuries. Of the four accidents, two involved adults. Both of these accidents were caused by the adult drivers, according to the information in police reports.
The first one, at 2:40 p.m., involved two teens. They were both backing up in the parking lot of 797 Game Farm Rd. when the teen driving a Toyota hit the other teen, driving a Ford. No citations were issued.
Then, at 2:46 p.m., a 23-year-old Plano man driving a Dodge Avenger at Routes 47 and 34 made a lane change and immediately made a U-turn in traffic. The teen, driving a Ford F150, was unable to stop in time and hit the Avenger. The Plano man was ticketed for an illegal U-turn.

The third accident was at 3 p.m., and involved two teens, also at 797 Game Farm Rd. A teen driving a Volkswagen collided into a teen driving a Kia in the parking lot.
The fourth collision Wednesday in Yorkville was at McHugh Road and Countryside Parkway at around 9:30 p.m. A teen driver in a Dodge Caravan was travelling north on McHugh when a 19-year-old Torkville man driving a Cadillac STS rear-ended the teen driver.
