Yorkville Blotter: Car vs. Garbage Can, Domestic Battery, Stolen Stop Sign
Yorkville police reports, April 2 through April 10.

APRIL 10
A Yorkville woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant for driving while license suspended. Roslin Deshields, 39, was stopped for allegedly using her cell phone in a construction zone near Route 34 and Route 47 around 11:25 a.m. March 10.
Brittany Y. Whitehead, 25, of Yorkville, was charged with domestic battery in the 100 block of Bertram Drive.

APRIL 7
Michael Dortch, 36, of Yorkville, was arrested on a warrant for unlawful use of a credit card in the 4500 block of Garritano Street, around 8:07 a.m. April 7.

APRIL 4
Neighbors called police around 1:45 a.m. to report people yelling loudly in their apartment in the 1300 block of Marketplace Drive. Officers said they heard a man yelling and a woman crying when they arrived at the apartment. Erin M. Rinke, 33, of Yorkville, was charged with domestic battery. The woman was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
APRIL 3
John A. Haspis, 20, of Yorkville, was charged with improper lane usage and zero tolerance. Police said Haspis’ car left the roadway and hit a garbage and then a child. Haspis allegedly admitted he had been drinking. The child was not injured.
Residents came home at 10:40 p.m. only to find that someone egged their car while it was parked in their garage in the 1900 block of Coneflower Court. Police said that numerous plastic forks had also been left in their yard.
APRIL 2
Someone stole a stop sign from the intersection of Budd Road and West Highpoint Road sometime before 6:56 a.m. Police found the bolts and washers on the ground. The sign is valued at $60.
