Yorkville Christian Receives IHSA Membership
YCHS set to add more athletics and club opportunities in 2016-17
Yorkville Christian High School was granted membership to the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) this week. This membership will allow for the school to expand its offerings, as well as compete in the state series for the athletics and activities they offer.Yorkville Christian currently offers boys’ basketball and rodeo but will be looking to add additional sports and activities for next year.
“A lot of it depends on enrollment, but we definitely plan to add girls’ volleyball, cross country, and wrestling,” said YCHS Administrator Aaron Sovern. “This also opens the door for debate, music, and scholastic bowl.“
