Yorkville Driver Flees Vehicle After Crashing into Light Pole

YORKVILLE, IL — A Yorkville driver was arrested after he allegedly struck a light pole and then fled from the vehicle.

Michael L. Conduff, 33, of the 500 block of Morgan St., was traveling southbound on Route 47 approaching River Road at around 5:11 a.m. Nov. 18 when he left the roadway and struck a light pole, according to the Yorkville Police Department. Conduff allegedly left the vehicle and fled to an unknown area, police said.

He was later apprehended and charged with improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of an accident and no insurance.
