Yorkville High School student Artan Emini received a Brattin Civic Youth Award at the 43rd annual Pearl Harbor Day Memorial Luncheon at Gaslight Manor in Aurora on Dec. 10.
Thomas Guzzardi, Aurora Rotary Club president, behind Emini, presented the Brattin awards to 10 area high school and middle school youth. Five Pearl Harbor survivors were honored at the luncheon. The keynote speaker was Commander Mike Thibodeau, Executive Officer of Great Lakes Naval Station.
