Yorkville Man Arrested For Disorderly Conduct

The man called police, claiming to be armed, bleeding from the neck and intending to hurt himself further. He was unarmed and unharmed.

YORKVILLE, IL -- A Yorkville man was arrested for disorderly conduct on Sunday, May 28, in the 3000 block of Cannonball Trail in the Bristol Township.

Gary Matlock, 63, of the 3000 block of Cannonball Trail, also called the sheriff's office, claiming to be armed, bleeding from the neck, and threatened to harm himself further. Members of the Sheriff's Office responded around 8:42 p.m., assisted by the Yorkville Police Department.

Responding authorities found that Matlock was unarmed and uninjured. He was subsequently arrested without incident on the charge of disorderly conduct. He paid his bond, which was set at $5,000 with ten percent to apply, and was released.
