Yorkville Man Charged With Aggravated DUI, Fleeing And Eluding: Police

The 32-year-old from Yorkville, who was drunk, fled the scene, eventually crashing into an oncoming vehicle, police say.

YORKVILLE, IL -- A Yorkville man has been charged with three felony counts of aggravated fleeing and one felony count of aggravated DUI, among other charges and citations on Wednesday night, according to the Yorkville Police Department.

Police responded to a domestic disturbance call to the address of Brent Green, 31, at the 1500 block of Walsh Drive, Wednesday at about 8:45 p.m. Green was described as "out of control" at the time. As the police arrived, Green was driving away in his Honda Accord with a female passenger, Adilene Manzanarez, 29, of Sandwich.

He struck a light pole, refused to stop for police and ran a stop light and stop sign, according to a press release. Green then sped away on Route 71 northbound.

Police say he rear-ended a semi truck and swerved across the center line, striking an oncoming Ford F150 driven by Dawn Carver, 60, of Yorkville.

Carver was taken to Rush Copley, treated and released. The driver of the semi was not hurt.

Manzanarez, however, was airlifted to Loyola in Chicago where she was listed in critical condition.

Green was treated for injuries at Rush Copley and released into the custody of Yorkville Police. His charges are three felony counts of aggravated fleeing and eluding, one felony count of aggravated DUI, one misdemeanor count of DUI.

His citations were for speeding, disobeying a traffic control device, disobeying a stop sign, illegal transportation of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident.

He is currently being held at the Kendall County jail, according to police.
