Yorkville School District 115 Hires Two New Administrators
Crystal Dvorak was hired as the Grande Reserve Elementary School Assistant Principal and Dean Romano was hired as the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations.
Yorkville School District 115 has hired two new administrators to begin on July 1 2013.
Crystal Dvorak will take on the position of assistant principal at Grand Reserve Elementary School. Dvorak taught at Yorkville Intermediate School for the past eight years and directed initiatives like school improvement planning, fifth grade instruction improvement and data evaluation.
She has also served as a negotiation for the Yorkville Education Association and a co-chairperson of membership.

“Ms. Dvorak has been active in teacher leadership and has been instrumental in District initiatives,” said superintendent Scott Wakely in a release. “She will be a productive member of our administrative team.”
Dean Romano has been hired as the assistant superintendent for finance and operations. Romano previously worked for the Clarendon Hills District 60 for seven years as business manager at Maercker Elementary. He was responsible for various areas of school finance, including building and grounds, transportation, food service, technology and human resources.

Romano has directed long-range facility plans, implemented a new transportation model among other accomplishments. He also has served as a leader on a variety of committees for the Illinois Association of School Business Officials (IASBO).
“We are confident Mr. Romano will serve as a solid district leader and continue tot support the direction and priorities of Yorkville 115,” said associate superintendent Tim Shimp in a release. “He is very current on educational issues and passionate about his role in assisting our school community in continuous improvement.”
Both new hires were approved by the Board of Education on March 18.
