Yorkville Sex Offender Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison
Investigators found that he had downloaded more than 100 images of child porn.

YORKVILLE, IL — A 60-year-old Yorkville man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after he was convicted of child pornography and a Sex Offender Registration Act violation.
In December of 2015, investigators of the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office were processing a sex offender address for Randall J. Anderson, of the 0-100 block of Riverside Drive, to confirm that he was in compliance with the requirements of the Sex Offender Registration Act.
Anderson has three previous convictions for the offense of child pornography. Detectives obtained and verified Anderson’s computer internet address. Investigators later learned, through the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, that 100 images of known child pornography had been downloaded to that computer address, according to Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weis. The Investigators subsequently obtained a search warrant to search Anderson’s home and computers.

Anderson was found to be in possession of numerous images involving children under the age of 13 years of age involved in various acts of sexual penetration or provocative poses showing the unclothed genitals of the children, Weis said. Evidence of child pornography was discovered on multiple media devices in Anderson’s home.
Additionally, Anderson had previously denied employment of any kind on his previous sex offender registration compliance documentation but was found to be working with computers. He was therefore in violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act regarding his duty to register.

Anderson was sentenced to ten years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the offense of child pornography and a consecutive two years for the Sex Offender Registration Act offense. Anderson will have to serve three years to natural life of parole upon his release from the Department of Corrections and is required to register with the Illinois Sex Offender Registry for his lifetime.
