Yorkville St. Patrick's Day 2018 Guide
Live music, Irish dancing, kids' activities and more are happening in downtown Yorkville.

YORKVILLE, IL — It's the day to don some green and pay tribute to the foremost patron saint of Ireland: St. Patrick's Day is almost here, and there's plenty to do in Yorkville. A parade, a 5K, Irish music and more are set for downtown Yorkville on Saturday, March 17.
Here's what's happening:
- 8-11 a.m.: Live music with the Gleeson Irish Trio at South Bank Original BBQ, 129 E. Hydraulic St.
- 9 a.m. : The second annual Run SOB Run 5K, hosted by South Bank Original BBQ and CASA Kendall County. Register online now.
- 11 a.m.: The St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off. The parade line up will be in the Yak Shack parking lot, 301 E. Hydraulic Ave. If your business would like to participate in the parade, call the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department at 630-553-4357.
- 11:30 a.m.: More live music plus kids' activities at at South Bank Original BBQ. Kids' activities include hunting for leprechaun gold and face painting.
- 1-2 p.m.: Irish dancing at Your Performing Arts Center in downtown Yorkville, 222 S. Bridge St.
- Noon-3 p.m.: Live performance by Stephen Bores at Casa Santiago, 227 Heustis St.
- Noon-midnight: Live music at The Law Office, 226 S. Bridge St.; Rowdy's, 210 S. Bridge St.; and South Bank Original BBQ.
